I GOT A FAMILY

Heyy, I finally got my hostfamily for my exchange year, and the family's perfect ! Luckily I got a family of two daughters, which are both about the same age as I am. The older daughter was in Finland two years ago as an exchange student, and the younger one will be coming this year to Estonia, so I have already something in common with them. I haven't yet emailed much with the family, but they seem really nice and friendly already (all YFU families are friendly duhh), and I just couldn't have wished for a better fit for me!

As soon as YFU sent me the information email, I googled the town and my school, and omg the town is so beautiful ! I'll be living in Thuringia in Rudolstadt (aboutish in the middle of Germany), and somehow it reminds me of Tallinns old town... ohmy. Also my school's a bit bigger than what I'm used to, and it looks so historical, should I be scared? I'm just hoping that I'll make friends fast, and won't have to be the schools lost puppy for my entire stay...

There's only 15 days left till my flight, and I still can't believe that I got this chance and will actually be living in Germany for the whole year. I know it may seem a bit weird for the rest of you, but at the moment I'm so lost and confused, that I don't even know what I want anymore. Suddenly there's so much I have to do, but too little time and because of that I'm getting even more nervous and it feels like my head's gonna explode any minute now. I hope it's normal to already worry about all of the pointless things that may occur during my exchange year... Oh well, I really hope I'll do fine :))

Rudolstadt's somewhere on the right side of Thuringia
